Buy the Belkin or Dlink version Oct 18, 2007
By Flippers These new UWB hubs are great, but this one is based on the old technology. You have to be carefull to get the right version. Compare the OS support. The new technology hubs support both Vista and XP now, not "someday". Belkin 302 and the Dlink 9240 work better. (Belkin 301 is the old stuff too)

Worked as promised Oct 16, 2007
By BJ Product worked as promised. Installation was extremely easy. Install the driver, install the wireless configuration software, connect the hub with a wire for the initialize configuration of the wireless hub, and you are done. You are now wire-free. The hub is immediately detected. Plug a device into the hub and the device is automatically detected. I plugged an uncommon piece of USB equipment, a blood pressure monitor, and still it was recognized. This suggests to me that this wireless hub is indeed a replacement for the cable.
The range unfortunately was too short for me. There is a metal cabinet in the room and the wireless hub has to be located on top of the cabinet. At maybe 15-20ft, I was getting intermitten connections. Your mileage will vary based on the amount of interference/barriers in your environment.

Range too short, too unreliable Jan 13, 2008
By Ray E. Stanton Save your money. This is not worth it. Range is only about 5 feet. It does not recognize all types of USB units, something the literature neglects to mention. The connection drops if I even pass my hand between the dungel and the unit. Does not recognize the hub, the next time I bring the laptop home and plug in the required dungle. Must re-establish contact with awire first. Worse, company will not work with me to resolve problems. Service support is not even a single star. They are only open during normal business week. No help here. Save your money.

Hardware is good, software needs to be improved Mar 08, 2009

The product USB HUB works well, I can even watch movies in my external drives anywhere in the room, but that's as far as it can go.
The software is very annoying, you have to install a driver, and somehow, sometimes when I plug a USB cable directly to my laptop the HUB would itself get disconnected, and I would have to reconnect everything.
Once you get used to it, I think you will find it very helpful and very convenient.

Works as expected Nov 19, 2007
By Simon This hub and adapter works great. I haven't seen any issues that others have described. I downloaded the newest drivers and they work perfectly. I've been waiting for a product like this for a long time. It seems to have better throughput than the wifi usb hubs. I use it to move my printer off of my crowded desk.
