5Works great!  Jan 24, 2012

I use this device to extend the distance between my Windows and my domotic controller.
The domotic controller is a USB device. Recently I had the need to move this controller to my lounge for convenience and RF coverage. With that device and the driver provided for Windows it works perfectly. My Windows Server is a 64 bit Windows Server. I created a scheduled task lauched at the startup of the server, so even if the server is rebooted the driver is loader by the scheduled task and the USB controller is connected to the server without the need to open a session on the server.

1No support for virtual machines  Apr 16, 2009
By A User
This unit does not work with virtual machines. SIIG support says they do not support vmenvironments and has no suggestions on how to get it to work. Given that this is an obvious way to add more USB ports to a vm, it is a very disappointing response from SIIG.

If you want to use this to add more USB ports to your vm, save your money.
