5high quality for the money spent  Mar 20, 2010
By Terry R. Nye
I bought this surge protector/line conditioner to protect a new TV and low-cost audio system I installed in the bedroom. We get a lot of power outages where I live, and I wanted something to protect the system without spending a huge amount of money. This unit is not only inexpensive but has many features found usually in protectors costing much more.

This is a very stylish surge protector. The construction is very solid. It is not a plastic piece of junk. It is cased much like other audio equipment, so it would look nice in any audio rack. It can be turned on and off from the front, and a very bright light lets you know it's on. There are some lights to indicate the quality of your AC line, but unless you have really crummy wiring I doubt these ever change. There is no remote control, but I really wouldn't expect one at this price point.

There are 8 protected outlets, which is plenty for most systems. Some of the outlets are switched so specific devices can be turned on/off by the surge protector. The unit advertises having line conditioning to optimize sound quality. I have never noticed a sound difference with line conditioners -- I have some expensive Panamax units guarding a high-end audio system in the living room, and they make no difference in the audio quality either. So don't expect to hear anything different. The value of this unit is mainly its surge protection.

I'm very pleased with this purchase. It has great features, looks stylish, and won't break your piggy bank. If you are looking for a quality surge protector for audio or video equipment this is well worth the money spent.

5Great product dumb user  Nov 03, 2010

I was going return it and rate this product with 1 star because every hour or so it would reset. Then I put a meter on the outlet and realized it the protector was doing it jobs and I have a wiring problem in my house:-(

A really high-end look and for the price you cant beat it.

5Great product!  Jul 19, 2010

The Home Theater Power Console is a great surge protector for a home theater system. The outlets are well spaced so that I didn't have to struggle plugging in different devices. Also, cable that comes with the product is decently long, so that I didn't have to place the product very close to the outlet (much appreciated). Furthermore, the console is asthetically pleasing. I purchased the product on sale for $65.

5Quality Product  Mar 24, 2010
By Steven Flora
I purchased this power filter for nothing more than piece of mind. I have been in the electronics industry for a decade and understand that they can make a difference but ultimately the difference can be negligible. Having the power filter makes me feel like the $2000 of equipment that I have hooked up to it is protected about as well as it can be and I think this investment is well worth it.

5JACKPOT!  Feb 07, 2011
By C. Lai "Mandarin"
If you are reading this review, it is because your want to confirm your purchase decision or narrow down your choices, which is always a good thing. Surprisingly, there is no surprise with this item. Mine is hidden in the audio/video cabinet and I just forget about it. Therefore, I don't see the control lights unless I open the cabinet. It does its job and never flinches. I use it to plug-in a 50 inch plasma TV, speakers, Wii, and Blu-ray player. I was not interested in LED displays, as found on other more expensive models, that would indicate the exact voltage going through. If the TV show or movie is boring to the point that I would watch a power surge LED display instead, it is better to shut off the TV and start looking for a therapist in my opinion!

This item is not designed as a toy, and it is far from being one. It is high quality made, and its design is sleek and of professional grade. It could easily be stacked onto other components if one chooses to do so. The moment that you will unpack it and hold it in your hands, you will definitely say "this is what I was looking for". It is sturdy, simple to use, and reliable. I personally believe that paying for a more expensive unit would not be justified for 98% of consumers. On the other hand, less expensive similar items are of variable reliability and designs, and/or may not offer the same benefits and quality. This unit is just perfect!

It is rare nowadays to find such a well built item at such an honest price point.
Highly recommended!
