1Very poor fit  Mar 02, 2009
By David A. Schwarzkopf
I'm usually a big fan of Belkin, but this optical cable has such a poor fit in my receiver it's disappointing. I had to use a cable tie alongside another wire and now it is resting where it is supposed to go, but not solidly held in place. There's no need to spend ridiculous amounts of money on Monster's high end cables, (digital is digital is digital), but their bargain variety is a better option than this.

5Nice looking and effective job  May 13, 2008

This cable is perfect for transfering digital sound to your Home Theater system from any additional player. It seems very good with the gray color and comes with protection for the tips in case you diconnect it.

Be careful with the length, it could trick you if your two equipments are some far (notice that it is only three feet long). But for those that don't want to have a lot of cables hanging from the back of the stand, this is the one.

I'm using it for transfering the digital sound of my playstation 3 to the audio receiver. I'm very satisfied.

1very loose fitting!!  Nov 04, 2010
By P. D. Bigio
Yes - I should have read the reviews before buying these. The fit is extremely loose, to the point that you will need to do something to ensure the cables remain plugged. I have used duct tape whenever I could, but perhaps adding some crazy glue to the outer portion of the plug, then waiting for it to dry, then plugging it - could also work because it seems that these cables were just cut a millimeter short - and thats why they are so cheap.

5Works Like A Charm  Jun 14, 2011
By Brooke E. Habecker
I bought this to go with the Gefen Digital Audio To Analog Audio Converter in order to get audio from my Apple TV 2 to a DVI TV. The converter came with a Toslink patch cable, but it didn't work. I'd ordered the Belkin one not knowing a cable was included, and it's a good thing. The Belkin works perfectly. Some reviewers (of this or other toslink cables, I forget) have mentioned that they have to turn the volume way up to hear the audio when using this kind of setup. I do not find that that is the case for me. I like the short length of this cable, since it's merely connecting the Apple TV and the Gefen converter. I didn't want yards of cable cluttering the space.

1Bad design. Buy a different brand.  Jan 12, 2011
By D. Noble
Unbelievable. Piece of junk. I own four fiber optic audio cables of different lengths and manufacturers, and this one is junk. The ends aren't designed/manufactured properly and thus don't fit. Read the other reviews, others have the same problem. The cable doesn't fully insert. It dangles, and thus the audio connection is intermittent. All my other cables fit and 'click' in. Save yourself a headache and get a different brand.
