Buyer Beware!! May 22, 2009

I purchased 2 of these chips in February. In late March one of them went bad, which is not a huge issue. The chips come with a lifetime warranty.

The huge issue is that when I RMA'd the bad chip to Corsair (RMA #1099812) they refused to honor the warranty. I contacted customer support 8 times, each time I was told that a supervisor that could approve the RMA was not available and that they would call me back. I never received a return phone call and finally gave up.

I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for memory. When it comes down to it you can find the same product elsewhere and if it goes bad you won't have to worry about being stiffed on the warranty.

I use a Dell Inspiron 9100, and this ram works great. Runs Vista like a pro. Very glad I bought it.

It arrived much earlier than expected, and does what you'd expect it to. It's more expensive than some of the newer technology, though, but for my computer, this is what I needed. I'm happy with it.

I ordered this to beef up the memory in a NAS appliance. It was a great find on Amazon, inexpensive, and it shipped super-fast. I had it in less than a week. Installed smoothly and works great. Going from 512mb to 1gb in my NAS seems to have improved it's reliability if not the speed. I think the NAS is constrained by the 10/100 network more than anything else right now, but the Web UI for managing the NAS is much more responsive now, and I'm able to run a few utility applications that the NAS came with much more quickly than before.
