5Creative usage  Nov 01, 2009
By Randy Dean Cowan "rdcowan"
I am recording my acoustic guitar with an app on my iPod Touch. I was not able to hear the first take while recording the overdub. I knew there had to be some kind of splitter without using the iPhone headset or something equivalent.
This is it! I can easily record my guitar with a studio quality mic, then listen the the first track while recording a second track. Works like a charm.

5Excellent Accessory.  Nov 04, 2008
By M. Wilder
This splitter works just as advertised. I use it exclusively in my truck for playing music from my iPhone to the car stereo with a cassette adapter (Don't care for the wireless volume or quality) and because I haven't gotten with the whole 21st century wireless headset bunch yet, I leave my wired headset plugged into the second jack of the splitter specially designed for two way wired headset conversation. This way I do not have to switch out any wires while driving when a call comes in. A most useful accessory to have for this purpose.

5Good product but make sure you know what it does  Jan 07, 2012
By R. Amato
I've had this product for several months and it does what it is supposed to do very well. However, you should make sure that you understand what it is designed to do. It is basically a iPhone/iPod headphone splitter where one of the two jacks supports the microphone connection. To use a microphone, you still need to have a headset with the same 4-conductor plug that you would have plugged directly into the device without the splitter.

What it does NOT do is split the headphone and mic to separate jacks. If you try to use a PC headset where the headphones and mic are on separate 3.5mm plugs, the headphones will work but not the mic.

5Perfect for Recording Music  Jan 08, 2011
By TB
The DLO headphone splitter is the only product I know of which allows you to hear what your recording using an iPod Touch 2g with a four track recording app. Before I purchased DLO headphone splitter, I was recording on "the fly" . . only being able to listen after I finished recording myself playing my acoustic guitar. Now I can plug my microphone / headphones and press record. ;) I'm not sure why this product was discontinued, I bought two.

5Works as advertised  Apr 01, 2012

This item works great. My ipod doesn't have a mic. And I have earbuds with a mic. I don't always want my earbuds in my ears, just to be able to use the mic. I plug in my earbuds on the mic side and a speaker on the other side, and now I can use my mic, and still be able to hear sounds without the earbuds in my ears. My ipod is almost like a iphone now.
