Part of an excellent backup solution Mar 06, 2011

These carriers fit into CRU-Dataport's external drive chassis models. I use the 2-bay enclosure (0023-5010-5220), attached to our PC via eSATA cable. These removable enclosures work with internal hard drives at least up to 2TB (perhaps more - check with MFR), allowing you to change just the drives themselves to upgrade backup capacity. Since they're removable, you can rotate several for offsite storage. While I'm at it, I also highly recommend StorageCraft's "Shadowprotect" drive imaging software - that SW, plus CRU's enclosure and drive carriers, makes for full bulletproof disaster recovery.
