5Genovation 630 Keypad  Feb 01, 2010
By Wendy Beattie "joy of yoga"
I've read some of these other reviews and the comments are confusing (or wrong!) so I will try and set the record straight. I do a lot of number crunching so I need a good quality keypad. On top of that I'm now using a laptop instead of a desktop -- so you know what that means -- numlock issues. So I bought the Genovation 630 after speaking with someone at Genovation and they said the 630 and 631 are Numlock-Proof. Plus they are both USB so no drivers needed to install. And yay, there are zero numlock problems. I can type letters on the laptop and numbers on the ten-key. The 630 is the heavy duty version and the 631 is the lighter one. Each to her (his) own. If you need a GOOD keypad, get this one and skip all the cheapo crappy ones. This one works great. PS. I don't know what "E-Book Systems" refers to ... it's a Genovation keypad.

5Thi is my second time with Genovation, they are excellent  Mar 10, 2007
By Richard S. Mitnick
I needed a numeric keypad for Vista. I had used a Genovation serial numeric keypad with WinME and WinXP. It had been terrific for many years. When It would not run in Vista, I called Genovation and got a recommendation of the 630, USB, and no driver, it's just like another keyboard.

The product is just plain excellent. But I went to Amazon because retailers on their list in my area were unresponsive. I had my keypad, with free shipping, in just a couple of days.

5Heavy Duty 10key  Dec 27, 2008
By J. Kolker "gadget freak"
I've had this 10key for a least 5 years, and it still works as new. I'm a CPA, and use the keypad all the time, and use it a lot. It takes a pounding and hasn't had any problems. I'm on my third laptop since I bought this item. The laptops have died, but this 10key keeps on going. I've tried other brands, and cheaper products in the past, but they wore out quickly. If you need a high quality heavy duty numeric keypad, this is the one. I'll be buying another one... in the event this one ever dies.

1Avoid if you still run MS-DOS programs!  Mar 26, 2006
By E55
This keypad requires a special program to be loaded so that the numlock on the keypad is unsynchronized with the notebook keyboard. With that program loaded your computer will lock up when you try to run an MS-DOS application. You must then reboot the machine. Unfortunately, I didn't discover this defect until after my 30 day return period had passed. Surprisingly Targus and Kensington have engineered keypads that don't require a separate program to unsynch the keypad numlock from the keyboard. Their keypads work fine under MS-DOS based applications and cost much less.

4E-Book Systems 630 USB Numeric Keyboard  Sep 14, 2011

It works great for me. I use it to play games on my Lap Top, but it works great for data entry too. The keys are easy to program and work fine. The only thing I don't like about it is the cord that connects it to the USB port.
