4Works great for Skype!  Aug 20, 2009
By D. Tepeneu
Works great on Windows 7 x64. I installed the UK drivers (downloaded from logitech UK website) and it integrates flawlessly with Skype. If you need Skype functionality, do not use the drivers from the CD in the box (due to some licensing disputes, it does not include Skype support.)
The quality of the speakers/mic is really good.

4Works with Windows 7  Jan 15, 2010
By Sneaky
A co-worker let me know when this dropped down to under $10 on [...] - I bought it through Amazon with free super-saving shipping. My co-worker had it running on Windows XP, so I was a little worried since I'm running Windows 7 Pro.

I downloaded the Vista version of CallCentral from Logitech and installed it (when prompted during installation if I wanted to install CallCentral AND the drivers I chose both). The speakers worked fine, but the microphone wouldn't pickup any sound.

After some snooping on the web, I uninstalled CallCentral and then re-installed it. This time, I right-clicked the installation file and chose "Troubleshoot compatibility" from the drop-down menu. It leads you through some steps, and I told it to run it as though it was running under Windows XP SP3. Installation went through fine and now it's working as planned! The mute button and volume knob both work.

Sound quality appears to be fine, but I haven't used it extensively. For under $10 how can you go wrong?

5Excellent, easy to use product  Nov 24, 2008
By Ayla "Ayla"
In my company, we frequently (ie., several times daily) speak with people all over the globe. Some of us use speakerphones, some use headphones, and some of us use either, depending on what's handy. The only way I can tell the difference between what someone is using, is if the video is running. It is convenient, the sound is good. It is very practical. We never have a problem (Note, however, that we use XT. I have no experience with this with Vista.)

2Didn't work very well on a Skype Call  Jan 31, 2007
By W. B. Hyde
We bought one of these and tried it out on a Skype call. The remote Skype user was able to hear the conversation in the room quite well and the device picked up all parties around the table clearly. However, it was a bust when the remote user (who was using earphones and a microphone) tried to talk. The remote user heard very choppy audio during the time he was trying to talk and had to turn is receive volume off to avoid being distracted. It's sort of like you need a "push to talk" handset. I've concluded that this device doesn't do full duplex and does conversation "turnaround" very poorly. We are taking it back for a refund.

4great for the price and the DIY crowd  Dec 10, 2010
By Matthew L. Daniel
Just wanted to add a "me, too" review for this product. For the price, it's a great addition to the remote office crowd who need to make group voice chats with homebase.

As is mentioned, it appears that the Vista drivers work, and I can personally attest that the device works well on Windows 7 (64-bit).

A quick search discovered that the file `callcentral1046_x64.exe` (available from [...]) can be unpacked with 7-zip and the Drivers directory extracted from it.

Go ahead and plug in the device, and then use the Device Manager to update the driver to the directory inside. Certainly not "double-clicky", but not pain and suffering, either.

I don't notice that the physical buttons on the device do anything, but that's probably not why you would buy this anyway.

UPDATE: I can now attest after several international meetings via skype that it works great, just as the reviews say, and is really seamless with skype on windows. I am very glad I bought this, it really is a great addition for a fantastic price.
