Nice Guitar Cable, Would Buy Again (Just Watch The Price..) Oct 31, 2009
By Loren Malm This is a nice 1/4" 12-foot guitar cable. It works great, and I'd buy again if I ever needed another one... Monster makes several cables like this, and I've seen a lot more expensive models including several with all-metal plugs. Personally, I like the molded plastic plugs as I think they are more flexible and form a more "continuous" connection to the body of the cable than the metal ends which seem to put a lot of stress on the joints. I am using this with a Les Paul style guitar, so this "straight" connector (as opposed to the right-angle connector) worked great for me.
The other "feature" of this cable I'll mention is the color-coded rings which can be changed on the cable - I don't have enough instrument cables for this to matter in my setup, but it is nonetheless a nice feature, and I wish other types of cables (monitor, USB, etc.) had this feature since it would help sorting out the mess behind my computer and my television...
One thing to watch if you buying through Amazon, the cost seems to vary wildly - the price raised and lowered more than 50% over the course of 24-hours! If the delivered cost is much more than an Andrew Jackson, you might shop around...

WOW! Sep 22, 2008
By Shawn Hatfield To be honest, I wasn't sure what to think of Monster Cable when it came to intrument cables. I didn't feel like spending the money on the A/V cables, so why would I plan to buy it for my guitar? This item was on sale and it was cheaper than the Planet Waves cables I usually buy, so I figured it couldn't hurt to try it out. Now I wish that I didn't wait so long to try these. Very transparent. All I hear is my guitar. Great item.

The Missing Element to Great Tone. Apr 16, 2011
By HRMuffin I've never considered cables too important in my search for good guitar tones, so I always used regular cords. But there always seemed to be something missing in all the guitar/amp combinations that I've tried.
I decided on these cables merely out of curiosity. How could mere guitar cords be this expensive? What kind of difference could mere wires make? Why are so many pros using them?
Well, the first time I plugged them in, I notice a big difference (which would be relative to only those who pay close attention to sound). I plugged them into a digital amp with various amp models, and the thing that struck me was that some of the models that I thought were crappy sounding now actually sounded good. This was a revelation to me. The entirety of the tone that the modelers intended were not getting through the normal cables I used.
Sound aside, I also appreciate the solidity of these cables. The connection plugs are well supported and protected, the plugs themselves are much more substantial than regular plugs, gold is used to enhance the electric flow; and everything about the entire product, including the packaging, bespeaks quality.
These cables are well worth the extra money, and I won't ever use regular cables again.
nothing better than a monster cable Jan 02, 2012
By Mikey Baucom i got this cable a year ago for christmas and it is the best cable that i have ever used. before i got it i was used to just using crappy cables that only worked good for a few months and just stopped working, only because they were cheap. then i got this cable and i was just blown away, and to be honest i still am. the tone is amazing, it sounds so clear, there's no buzz, it's just the best cable i've ever gotten, and it's the best $30 that you'll ever spend. a bunch of my personal favorite rock stars use monster cables (Joe Perry from Aerosmith, Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Slash uses it. let's be honest if these guys use monster cable then you know that these cables are the real deal). also, i don't have what most people would call state of the art equipment (squier strat and a kustom 12 gauge amp) but with this cable you'd think that you would, that's how good it is. i actually ordered another monster cable that's a nicer model than this one and i can't wait for it to get here. and as soon as it gets here and ive used it a little bit i'll post a review on it.

By Anonymous Works beautifully with my Taylor 914ce hooked into my Marshall, or into my Line 6 then into my amp. These cables will last a long time, crystal clear tone for a far better price than the Planet Waves cable.
