The Difference is Noticable Oct 27, 2008
By S. Cea

I hooked up an Audix OM2 mic using this cable and an identical mic with a Planet Waves Cable. Both sounded great but the monster you could hear the difference. There was a tighter sound and it was more clear. I switched the mics to see if there would be a change in sound: there wasn't. The difference was clear. Then I used a planet waves cable to hook up to a powered speaker. Same test. Same results. Monster makes a great product. Thats why they charge a premium. But if you are a smart shopper like myself you can find this cable at a GREAT price. I know i did.

Great cable Jul 24, 2010
By Tivo Manic The cable is super flexible and very sturdy at the same time. I use it in a home studio setup, so I'm not constantly hooking and unhooking it, but it's shown no issue so far.

awsome Feb 17, 2010
By Alfonso Vasquez These cables are really good for stage or studio use. This is the cable to get if you want a great working mic cable forever. 1. They are flexible so easy to work with,2. They are thicker than the normal common mic cable. 3. Well engineered so it's very, very quiet & awsome sounding. 4.They have the gold pins. 5. Best of all, it has a lifetime guarantee. This means you buy a cable for life. If for any reason ANYTHING goes wrong with it, just take it back to a Monster Cable dealer and you should get a trade in for a new one if it's not repairable. Hard to top that.

Poor Poor Sound Quality Jul 22, 2010
By Arvind Chopra I had gone through a few XLR cables that would start off good but the internal connections would break after a while. So I bought this Monster cable after reading the mostly great reviews on Amazon. I regretted it. The sound was dull using this cable. The dynamic range was gone and the vocals were compressed. I could not believe it, so I connect an old cable in the same setup to do A-B comparisons. The cheapo cable was bright and crisp while this was dull and uninspiring. I never used to believe a cable could make such an audible difference, but this cable proved it. I repeated the A-B comparisons for about 5 days just to be sure and then returned it. Monster has always been talked about as being overpriced and under-performing but I did not believe it till now. I will not touch monster stuff again. I suggest you do not take a chance either, and buy something nicer for the money you will be spending.
