4Good lamp remote control  Nov 02, 2010
By Gama Rex
I wanted a switch to control a table lamp that is hard to access, and this is what's needed. I'd seen white remote extension cords in stores, but wanted brown to blend better with furniture. Though in the picture provided by Amazon, the cord appears to have the type of rocker switch that I'd seen in the store units, but the one I received has a push-button switch. I prefer the pushbutton, although it has enough play in it that it needs to be pressed in the middle. The button is oval and fairly long, a good thing, but if pressed at either end, the switch doesn't "lock" you'll need to press in the middle to keep the connection.

I've uploaded a photo of the button from the unit I received.

Pros:
Button looks better than rocker-type button
Button is easy to press (little resistance)
Cons:
Button has to be pressed in the middle, though it's oval and long.

1Description is VERY wrong  Dec 13, 2010
By D. Faust
The description says there are three outlets and the button is 2 feet from the plug. That is not even close to what this is. This thing has just a single outlet right at the plug, and then a switch 15 feet away. Not what I was looking for! Plus shipping took forever.

5Perfect!  Oct 24, 2009
By betty "boop"
This is just what was called for. The only room light is a lamp about 8 ft from the doorway. No more bruised chins from navigating around the furniture in the dark to get it turned on!

4Convenient way to turn a floor lamp on and off  May 13, 2007
By Michael L. Connolly
By inserting this product between the floor lamp plug and the power outlet, one has a convenient way to turn on and off a floor lamp situated behind a recliner by simply pressing a toggle on an end table to ones right.

5Wonderful!  May 24, 2010
By SteveZL1
This is a wonderful item. I admit after I ordered I reread the description and wondered if this is what type of extension cord I was really after. The description seemed a little vague to me. It is exactly what I wanted. You would think these type of cords would be everywhere...until you go try to find one. The price was fine and the shipping time was great. Very happy with this purchase. A+++.
