 Solid Mount Without Breaking the Bank Nov 21, 2011

When I went from a made-for-presentations projector that mounted to my ceiling with a simple bracket to a serious entry-level home theater projector (Epson 8350), I needed to get a bracket that was just as serious. I knew the Peerless brand and reputation from other products, so I didn't expect this to be cheap, but what I got was still a pleasant surprise. The metal used for this is all of sufficient gauge to handle far more than it is rated for. Additionally, there are enough ways to tweak the installation and wiggle this way and that, that any installer with a little time and patience should be able to accurately aim a projector at a screen.
The bottom line is that this gives all the strength and adjustment capability that you will need for a typical home theater installation. Why pay more when a high-quality product like this is available at a reasonable price?

I opened the product after receiving all of the different items for my new 3D projector installation before the great 8 basketball game, boy was I bummed out when I found out the major part to mount to the projector to the bracket wasn't in the box! So disgusted I returned it! Good luck if you buy this and hope you don't plan your day around it because it may bum you out too.

After unsuccessfully auditioning a Chief RPA-U, extension column and ceiling plate, switched to this Peerless mount for a ceiling-mounted Panasonic PT-AE7000U projector.
Pros:
-easy to assemble
-comes with an extension column and ceiling plate so that doesn't need to be purchased separately
-lots of adjustment features to fine tune the picture position
-easily mounted to the the projector
Cons:
-didn't come with any mounting hardware (called company directly and they sent parts w/i 2 days, customer service very good)
-not the sturdiest extension column, but mine is wall-mounted and ceiling is tall enough so that should be safe from the kids

Great mount, can be either used on wall or ceiling. The construction is solid and the package contains all types of different screws for projector attachment.

This is a great mount. Its design makes it easy to mount the base, add the post, attach the spider to the projector, and hang the projector, all without risking the projector. The C channel is a great place to hide the projector cables, making for a finished looking install. I'm getting ready to purchase 3 more for our school.
