worthless Nov 07, 2007
By L. Despin I was so excited about this product, but it didn't do anything. My computer (Windows XP Home operating system) couldn't recognize the device. It was as if a driver was missing, but there wasn't any indication of how to get one. I poked arougd the Abrent website a bit and it wasn't helpful. Rather than mess around with product support, I decided to just return the thing. My Logitech mouse and old keyboard work fine with another adapter I have, and my computer didin't recognize this thing no matter what I had plugged in (including nothing), so the problem was with this splitter.

Did not work Dec 08, 2007
By R. Engle I tried two, neither worked well. The first one would not transmit modifier keys reliably, which made logging in via alt-ctrl-del challenging. I exchanged that one for a different one. After a short time it would just stop transmitting keyboard signals altogether. The typos on the packaging should have tipped me off that this was not the best product.

Not All Computers Recognize This Jul 07, 2008

After purchasing this item, I found I could not get my computer to recognize it. There are no drivers available for it, and after some research, I found this was a common problem with this item. I also tried it on my father's computer, with no luck.

By Robin G. Despain I have a new laptop but it would not recognize this cable, it will not work at all and does not come with a driver.

Works like a charm Dec 02, 2006
By J. R. Gleason This little guy works perfectly with my IBM model M keyboard, as well as with a couple of old Alps clicky keyboards. And they all work whether plugged directly into my HP dv6000 notebook running Win XP, or plugged into its docking station. No fuss, no muss. This converter does just what it claims to do: Allow you to use a real keyboard, even if it has a PS2 connector and your computer doesn't.
Highly recommended!
