Not quite what I was hoping for, but it fits... Apr 04, 2011
By -Tj- I decided to buy a privacy filter for my Vaio Z because I didn't like my coworkers looking at my screen. Unfortunately, the viewing angle for this filter isn't narrow enough, and they'll still be able to see what I'm looking at from most angles in the cubicle. While the package says the viewing angle is about 60°, I would say it's more like 80-85°, and it won't block vertical viewing angles. It's also quite expensive.
It does have some merits; it fits the Z perfectly without unsightly tape-on tabs and doesn't distort the screen much (it does introduce a very slight diagonal pattern, though). Lowering the screen brightness does help to reduce the viewing angle a fair bit, but I prefer my screen to stay at at least ~75% brightness or higher for reading.
I would have given it one more star if it were cheaper, and another if it had a narrower viewing angle. Otherwise, it feels like an overpriced product that could have achieved a little more.

Doesn't provide much privacy. . . . Apr 12, 2009
By J. Fang The screen does make it a bit harder to read what's on the screen exactly from an angle but the person sitting right next to you on an airplane can still make out what you're working on. . . . However, it does fit perfectly.

Not clear. Apr 20, 2010
By Nico This is not clear. It is grey. Also, it is not thin as someone would expect but thick and thus sturdy, i.e unbendable. if you have a touch screen, it' s hard to be able to still use the pen, or finger for the touch operation. overall a bad product.
