5exactly what I needed  Dec 21, 2009
By Valjean Clark III "775guy"
I simply needed to velcro a USB device inside my mini-itx case. This did the trick quite nicely.

Please note that the part of the cable that attaches to the motherboard does not take up the entire USB header port. It just takes up one half of it, so you could put two of these on one header port. It wasn't obvious by the photo, although I am aware that one USB header allows for two USB connections. I thought it may be worth mentioning anyway.

5Perfect for Low Power Server  Jan 17, 2010
By J. Royce
Perfect if you want to use a USB key as a primary hard drive in a low power PC application. Solid state drives are expensive compared to USB drives, but if you want low power consumption you can use this cheap adapter + a USB key to run a PC using Ubuntu or other Linux distro. I paired this adapter with a OCZ 8GB Rally 2 USB 2.0 Dual Channel Flash Memory, which is one of the faster USB devices available in terms of both read and write speed.

It has been awesome in my new media server. The entire PC (which uses an Atom processor) consumes ~35W when running under steady load.

5Flexible, works like a charm  Nov 11, 2009
By Joshua Hattersley "Josh"
I needed an internal USB header adapter for my Home Theater PC, so that I could hide the flash drive I'm using as the boot drive internally. The flexible cable between the female header port and the female USB port made positioning my drive a cinch, and now I don't have to see a blinking red light from the USB drive sticking out the back of the case. Inexpensive, works as expected, five stars.

5Works exactly as expected  Feb 07, 2012
By Jack Kennedy
Used it to house a USB Flash Drive inside my Vyatta box as a boot disk. Works perfectly - and keeps the clutter to a minimum. I could see this being useful for internal wifi dongles, TV tuners, wireless mouse/keyboard receivers, etc.

The fact that it's prime shipping as well - absolutely amazes me.

5USB to USP Motherboard Header Adapter  Nov 01, 2011
By Larry Epperson
This was exactly what I was looking for. Local computer store thought I was crazy, but Amazon to the rescue. It plugged right into the motherboard. I plugged an 8GB thumb drive into it for Win7 ReadyBoost and taped it to be inside bottom of my case. Perfect solution all the way around.
