 Doesn't charge iPhone or iPod if PC Off! Aug 20, 2010

Targus KB article makes it very clear: [...]. If you try to charge most phones or Apple products with your PC off or suspended, charging will not take place because these items require a constant USB signal. So don't buy this thinking you can suspend or shut off your PC and have a charged phone in the morning!

Sits on the desk well, easy to get to USB plugs, charging ports don't work when the PC is off (minus one point), external audio plugs I don't use. Good solid USB hub, too bad the offline charging doesn't work for my iPhone and iPod.

I'm not too good with technical things, but this product was easy to set up and use. Everything is pretty straight forward and so far it's working very well. For the price it was just what I needed. If you don't need too many extra port connections this one will do fine for you.

One really nice thing about this hub is that two of the ports have enough power that they can charge iPhones! I've gone through several other hubs, being annoyed that my phone wouldn't charge. Got this one. Problem solved!

Bottom line,.. this is the only POWERED, USB hub that also has a mic and audio ouput built in. VERY, VERY handy. Works as intended, is smaller in size than it appears (a good thing).
Only thing,.. is this thing HOT? I mean it retails at GOOD vendors for at least 30-50$.. Usually 40-50,.. and I got it for 5-6$? It is no hoax, fast shipping, and am using it now.
Highly recommend,.. not even sure how this place makes money.
